An invited lecture on “Women, Rights & Development: Reimagining Gender” was organised by the Women Development Cell (WDC) and Department of History, Ambedkar College of Arts & Science, Wandoor, on 28 September 2026 at 10.30 a.m. at the Ayyankali Seminar Hall. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Shamsudeen E., Principal, ACAS, Wandoor. Dr. Ragesh K. V., Assistant Professor, Department of History, NSS College, Manjeri, served as the resource person.

The lecture focused on the significance of women’s rights, gender equality and the role of women in social and economic development. Dr. Ragesh K. V. discussed the need to rethink traditional ideas about gender and highlighted the importance of creating an inclusive and equal society. The programme provided students with an opportunity to reflect on contemporary gender issues and the importance of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all.
