Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session Conducted

The Women's Development Cell (WDC), in association with IQAC, of Ambedkar College of Arts and Science, Wandoor, organized an awareness session on “Menstrual Hygiene and Menstrual Cup” on 3 June 2026 at the Ayyankali Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted in collaboration with Amora Health Tech Private Limited with the objective of promoting awareness about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and sustainable menstrual products among students. The event was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Dr. Shamsudeen E., who emphasized the importance of breaking social taboos surrounding menstruation and encouraging informed health choices.

The keynote session was delivered by Shaniba P., Founder and Managing Director of Amora Health Tech, and Charls V. K., Co-Founder and Director of the company. The speakers provided valuable insights into menstrual hygiene management, the benefits and safe usage of menstrual cups, and the need for greater awareness regarding women's health. The interactive session received enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and clarified their doubts. The programme was successful in fostering awareness and encouraging healthy and sustainable menstrual hygiene practices among young women.
