Ambedkar College of Arts & Science, Wandoor, organized an orientation programme titled “MOOC Unlocked” on 6th January 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Ayyankali Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about online learning platforms such as Coursera, SWAYAM, and NPTEL, and to encourage them to utilize MOOCs for academic and skill development.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Shamsudeen E, Principal of ACAS, who highlighted the importance of digital learning and self-paced courses in today’s education system. The session was led by Thaiseer Mohamed Althaf VK, Student, Pondicherry University, who served as the speaker. He provided an informative overview of MOOCs, explained the process of course enrollment, certification benefits, and shared his personal learning experiences. The session helped students understand how MOOCs can enhance employability, knowledge, and lifelong learning.

The programme was organized by the IQAC in association with the NPTEL Local Chapter. The event witnessed active participation from students and was highly informative and motivating. Overall, the programme successfully achieved its objective of promoting online learning platforms among students.
